As part of Skelmorlie Nature Festival, Scottish Wildlife Trust are supporting us with a day of action at the Crescent and we would love it if you could join us! We plan on connecting the path from North to South – creating a whole new space for walkers, whilst also removing the invasive Rhodedendron Ponticum.
Tasks consist on: trimming back branches and foliage along existing woodland path (north section), mowing a rough path through wild meadow, trimming and form a woodland path (south section).
Bring your own gloves, secatuers, loppers etc. Kids welcome but you are in charge of supervising your own!
The Scottish Wildlife Trust will also be assisting with weeding and preparing the raised bed at Skelmorlie Primary School on Wednesday 28th of August.
