SET & Eadha Enterprises – Notes on Collaboration

We have been in communications with Eadha Enterprises, looking to see how we can learn from the organisation and looking for possibilities on how to work together in the future.

Here are some notes on possible ways in which we could help each other in the future:

  • Professional Survey Work – flora and fauna (Paid) – Starling Learning
  • Help to organise and delivering guided walks by experts to explore particular ecological interests
  • SET volunteer seed collection for propagation at Eadha Nursery (Oak, Hazel, Downy Birch etc) for use at Kelly and other Eadha sites
  • Introduction of missing species to enhance diversity:
    • Juniper
    • Aspen
    • Bird Cherry
    • Gean
    • Rock Whitebeam
  • SET to share seedlings for other Eadha sites (oaks etc)
  • Use of Eadha Nursery by SET volunteers for growing stock for Kelly
  • Eadha help to secure grants for woodland management and expansion
  • Provide redundant tree tubes for re-use to protect oak and other seedlings and to use for growing oak seedlings
  • Share opportunities for volunteering through Eadha Social media and volunteer network
  • Publicise SET work via Eadha and Yearnstane social media
